Life at Spotnana

In November, Spotnana held its third annual global offsite. Named Converge, the event brings together our diverse group of talented Spotters from around the world and helps us align on how we move forward together as one unified team.

Nearly 300 Spotters gathered in Bangkok, Thailand, for four days of collaboration, learning, and in-person connection at the Avani Riverside Bangkok Hotel and Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort.

As a company that builds next-generation technology for the travel industry, travel plays an important role in our company culture, and we believe travel connects us like nothing else. It has tremendous power to help people form deeper relationships, build stronger teams, and achieve greater understanding of one another’s needs, cultures, and perspectives.

“Converge was an amazing experience! It was inspiring not just getting to meet my coworkers from all over the world, but hearing their stories about where they came from and their passion behind Spotnana,” said Kelly Stack, Commercials & Content. “The sessions were immersive and insightful, truly allowing for collaboration amongst departments and individuals who otherwise might not cross paths.”

Building the future together

Converge 2025 was an opportunity to align around Spotnana’s corporate goals, explore the city of Bangkok, and build personal relationships that enhance our ability to deliver for our customers and partners.

Spotters traveled to Bangkok from the U.S., Canada, India, UK, Australia, and Argentina.

The core of Converge 2025’s programming centered on innovation, growth strategy, and further strengthening our culture. Spotnana leadership provided context around the company’s goals and how every Spotter will contribute to the company’s continued growth.

“Converge 2025 was a personal milestone for me in my journey with Spotnana,” said Kshitij Gaur, Engineering. “The clarity and passion with which leaders think about Spotnana was so addictive that you could feel that energy across the room.”

Presentations, question and answer sessions, and hands-on brainstorms helped to boost collaboration and help Spotters align on how we are building the future together as we continue to improve Spotnana’s Travel-as-a-Service platform and provide solutions to leaders across the travel industry.

Spotnana’s Engineering team also showed off upcoming innovations and industry-first features to the wider Spotnana team.

“Showcasing my team’s work was the biggest highlight of Converge 2025,” said Apoorva Pacharne, Product. “It was extremely impactful seeing how the work I am doing day to day translates to direct business impact and fits into our roadmap for next year.”

Exploring Bangkok

Bangkok was the star of the trip, however, as Spotters had ample opportunity to join planned activities with colleagues and explore the city during free time.

Spotters enjoyed a variety of activities around Bangkok.

Team building activities included a scavenger hunt through Bangkok’s vibrant streets that left lasting impressions. “The Scavenger Hunt was my absolute favorite team building activity,” said Sourav Dasgupta, Engineering. “Riding a tuktuk through Bangkok’s busy streets to the flower market, walking through Chinatown, solving puzzles as a team – you just cannot beat the experience.”

The evenings brought Spotters together for memorable celebrations. One highlight was a sophisticated dinner prepared by Founder and Chief Product Officer Sarosh Waghmar featuring courses that melded Indian and continental classics. “The lavish dinner spread curated, prepped, and cooked by Chef Sarosh” was among Dasgupta’s favorite memories of Converge 2025.

“Spotnana’s Got Talent” showcased the diverse talents of our team with performances including singing, dancing, a spoken word session, and an amazing DJ set.

The closing celebration featured a beautiful sunset cocktail reception river cruise, where many Spotters joined in with the singers on board for karaoke. The evening concluded with a memorable dinner at the Sala Lakorn restaurant accompanied by authentic Thai dancing entertainment.

The ample number of activities allowed Spotters to bond over Spotnana’s goals and achievements, while making personal connections that will last a lifetime.

Spotters teamed up for a treasure hunt exploration of Bangkok.

“It was incredibly impactful, offering a wonderful opportunity to connect in person with many Spotters I interact with on a daily basis remotely, as well as meet new Spotters,” said Deneen Haywood, Customer Experience. “I am deeply thankful for the opportunity to gain knowledge, share smiles, laughter, and create new memories with my Spotnana family.”
