Implementation Manager Jessica Goncalves

As an Implementation Manager, Jessica works closely with our partners and customers to ensure a successful onboarding experience. This includes understanding their current needs, existing tools, and necessary processes, while thoughtfully mapping each to Spotnana’s functionality.

Jessica also maintains strong partnerships with internal teams to ensure alignment on strategy, execution, and long-term success.

Jessica shared why she was drawn to Spotnana, what it’s like to work on our Implementation team, and how her colleagues have shaped her Spotnana experience.

Can you share your career journey before Spotnana?

“Prior to Spotnana, I worked at two startup companies. One offered a wellness platform that was part of the Virgin Group, and the other provided an Agile Workforce Operating System. Both of these experiences fueled my passions for helping clients, making a real impact, and continuously pursuing self-growth.

“Working in startup environments empowered me to advocate for myself early in my career and meaningfully contribute to the evolution of products and processes.”

Why did you choose to come work at Spotnana?

“I was drawn to the vision and passion of our Founder Sarosh Waghmar. Spotnana is revolutionizing the travel industry by making business travel more personalized, intuitive, and stress free.

“I didn’t start my career in travel, and traveling for work intimidated me. I was constantly second-guessing myself: Am I wasting my company’s money? Is this in policy or out of policy? Will I get reimbursed?  Spotnana directly addressed my own pain points, and I loved the focus on creating a traveler experience that provides clarity at each point in the journey.”

What is it like to work on your team?

“Our Implementation team is highly collaborative, supportive, and solution-oriented. We share the common goals of ensuring our customers’ long-term success and delivering a seamless experience for travelers.

“There’s a strong sense of trust and teamwork. Everyone is willing to jump in, share knowledge, and help each other succeed. I enjoy working with a group of people who care deeply about the product, our partners, and one another.”

What is something specific that you’ve accomplished at Spotnana that you’re proud of?

“Each quarter, Spotnana honors employees who best embody one of our core values with a Quarterly Spotter Award. Recently, my Implementation colleagues and I were recognized for exemplifying our core value of Stronger Together. While I’m not someone who naturally seeks awards or attention, this recognition meant a lot to me because it acknowledged our team’s cohesion, collaboration, hard work, and success.

“The work behind the award required close collaboration across three different teams, and it demonstrated what’s possible when Spotters come together in the pursuit of a shared goal. Success hinges on strong partnerships, trust, and supporting one another to deliver the best outcomes for our clients and travelers.

“This experience, from collaborative teamwork to company-wide recognition, reinforced why I love working at Spotnana.”

Can you share how in-person gatherings have shaped your Spotnana experience?

“In-person events like Converge (our global offsite) and team offsites have greatly strengthened my connection to the company and to my colleagues. They bring our culture to life, deepen relationships, and remind me that the people behind the screens are just as thoughtful and passionate in person.”

What is your favorite thing about working at Spotnana?

“One of my favorite things about working at Spotnana is the transformation that we are driving within the travel industry. I also love the people. My Implementation team feels like a family, and my cross-functional colleagues are simply amazing. I know that I will help them if needed, and I never doubt that they will do the same for me.

“We know that our success depends on the strength of every single one of us.”

Why is travel important to you?

“Travel creates connection, perspective, and unforgettable experiences. Working in the travel industry provides the opportunity to make journeys smoother and more enjoyable for anyone who finds travel stressful or intimidating.”

Fun Facts!

  • What’s the best trip you ever took and why? The first international trip I ever took was when I was 22, when my sister and I traveled to Rome. I decided the year before that I was going to run the Rome Marathon, and we built the entire trip around it. As we ran past the Vatican, the Pope blessed us from the balcony. The support, the energy, and the sense of community made it an unforgettable experience.
  • What’s your favorite thing to do at the airport? I love people-watching. I’m fascinated by the travelers who sprint to the gate immediately, the ones who casually stroll up as boarding closes, and the parents juggling kids while their other children stare out the window in excitement, ready for a new adventure.
  • What’s your favorite airplane snack? I usually bring Skittles, Almond Snickers, and some sort of chip. I never know what I am going to be in the mood for.
  • Aisle, middle, or window seat? It depends on the length of the trip. For shorter flights, I prefer a window seat. For longer flights, I choose the aisle so that I can get up and stretch without bothering anyone.
  • What’s your go-to show to watch on a trip? It depends on the flight length. On shorter flights, I like to watch a newer movie I haven’t seen before. On longer flights, I’ll binge CSI, Criminal Minds, or a full season of a sitcom.
  • What’s the top destination on your bucket list? I have two bucket-list trips I’d love to do within the next five years: a bicycle wine tour through Italy (either Tuscany or Prosecco Hills) and an Alaskan cruise.
