Spotnana acquires TROOP

We are thrilled to announce that Spotnana has completed its acquisition of TROOP, the award-winning meeting planning and group travel logistics platform.

Meetings and events can represent as much as 40% of a company’s total annual travel spend. Despite this high volume, meeting and event travel remains largely unmanaged in many organizations.

This category of travel spend is often ad hoc, distributed across teams, and typically not included in strategic travel provider negotiations. In addition, the key individuals who plan meetings and events often lack the tools to take advantage of strategic travel provider relationships and generally manage meeting and event travel through manual paper-based processes.

Spotnana’s acquisition of TROOP gives travel buyers powerful tools for managing meetings, events, and transient travel through a single platform built on modern infrastructure. The acquisition will also enable Spotnana to further accelerate the development of best-in-class technology for meeting and event professionals. 

Bringing Spotnana and TROOP together

There is a growing trend in the travel industry to consolidate ownership of transient travel and travel for meetings and events. According to a recent survey by Business Travel Show Europe, more than 60% of corporate travel and procurement professionals are now jointly responsible for travel and meetings—a significant leap from 50% just a year ago.

Customers want a single, consolidated travel platform that makes it easy to book transient travel, plan a group meeting, and manage the full logistics of every traveler’s journey regardless of whether they are flying to a customer meeting or attending a 50-person internal summit.

• Spotnana’s travel platform further extends this value by powering travel booking and servicing across a broad range of content sources, including direct integrations with over 30 top travel providers.
• Spotnana’s APIs also power traveler profiles, policy management, negotiated rates, preferred suppliers, and payments.

Companies that use TROOP and Spotnana across meetings, events, and transient travel benefit from a unified view of spend across their entire travel program, extensive content integrations that reduce travel costs, a comprehensive set of travel management tools, and seamless integrations for managing HR data, expenses, and duty of care.

Corporations now have the option of purchasing TROOP as a standalone product or within a suite of products from Spotnana. TROOP will also be available through Spotnana’s ecosystem of TMC channel partners.
