Spotnana welcomes Genevieve Juillard to our board of directors
Today we are excited to announce that Genevieve Juillard has joined Spotnana’s board of directors.
Genevieve is an experienced CEO, board director, and transformation-stage operator with over 20 years of leadership in data, technology, and marketing. She recently served as the CEO of IDG, and prior to that she held executive positions at Experian and FINCA Impact Finance. She brings deep expertise in governance, AI and data innovation, M&A, executive compensation, and value creation strategy to Spotnana’s board.
With extensive board experience across public, PE-backed, joint-venture, and nonprofit organizations, Genevieve is known for driving clarity, aligning strategy with execution, and guiding teams through complexity.
Genevieve recently shared her thoughts on the opportunity to transform travel industry technology and why she decided to join Spotnana’s board.
Can you tell us about your background?
“I’ve had a pretty eclectic career. Over the past 20 years, I’ve managed businesses across data and technology, working in global roles across three continents and several different business models. I spent 15 years at Experian, working in three different geographies, including leadership roles out of the U.S. and London, as well as running Australian credit services. Later in my career, I stepped away from the corporate world to live and work in Africa, something I had been involved in since graduate school. I moved to Malawi for a few years to work on microfinance and alternative banking projects, managing initiatives all over the continent.
After returning to the U.S. and to Experian, I stepped into the role of CEO at International Data Group (IDG), a global company owned by Blackstone, where Steve Singh, who is now Spotnana’s CEO and Executive Chairman, served as chair. During my time at IDG, I led the successful transformation and recapitalization of the 60-year-old
business, including the strategic divestiture of its Foundry subsidiary and the repositioning of IDC as a focused, AI-enabled technology intelligence company.
I’ve also served on a variety of boards ranging from Innovid (which was sold to MediaOcean) to Permutive, FINCA, and Experian Australia Credit Services.”
What do you see as the opportunity for Spotnana?
“The Spotnana team is completely redefining how travel infrastructure is built from the ground up.
I initially looked at this opportunity from two perspectives: as someone who has traveled extensively and as a business leader who has overseen large enterprise travel budgets.
Spotnana is at a pivotal time in its maturity. The opportunity ahead for this company is massive, and how we execute against our vision will be what makes us a wild success. I’m excited and eager to support the team through this stage of maturity and growth.”
Why did you decide to join Spotnana’s board?
“Because I’m a general manager myself, my goal on any board is to act as a real sounding board for leadership by weighing in where I can be most helpful as the business scales.
Having worked closely with Steve Singh in the past, I have immense confidence in his leadership and his deep knowledge of the space. When he articulates the vision for Spotnana as ‘powering the perfect trip for travelers everywhere,’ it’s hard not to get excited.”
What is the impact you’d like to drive as a board member?
“Given my background in data and data-driven business models, I see immense potential in how Spotnana consumes and leverages data. By harnessing that data effectively, we can dramatically improve the experience for travel managers and travelers alike, while also unlocking entirely new revenue streams.
Combining my background in data and management with my lifelong love for travel feels incredibly rewarding.”
Why is travel important to you?
“The human experience is fascinating because of its diversity. Seeing how completely different ways of living exist across the globe is beautiful. I was born into a French-American family with relatives spread across multiple countries, languages, and locations.
Throughout my life, I’ve lived and worked in six countries and traveled to over 70. Travel has always been a fundamental part of who I am. Whether traveling for personal reasons or for work, travel breaks down barriers. It opens our eyes, fosters deep empathy, and helps us connect as humans. I believe traveling fosters growth unlike anything else.”
