Innovation

As we close out 2025, we’re reflecting on a year defined by growth, innovation, and deepening partnerships across the travel ecosystem. From launching transformative products to expanding our global content network and welcoming new leaders, this year has reinforced our commitment to modernizing travel infrastructure for the better.

Here’s a look back at what made 2025 such a pivotal year for Spotnana.

Delivering Spotnana Cloud for TMCs

The biggest news of 2025 was the launch of Spotnana Cloud for TMCs in May as a comprehensive product suite designed to help forward-thinking travel management companies modernize their technology stack while significantly reducing servicing costs. This launch represents our deepening commitment to empowering TMCs with the tools they need to thrive in the modern travel landscape.

Spotnana Cloud for TMCs quickly gained momentum with several industry-leading partners adopting the platform throughout the year, demonstrating the strong demand for modern, cloud-native travel infrastructure.

The product suite offers:

  • Global content coverage From GDSs and direct NDC integrations to hotel, rail, and ground, agents can book and service any source of content efficiently.
  • Modern OBT experience A consumer-grade user experience for travelers combined with configurable tools for travel managers. Real-time analytics for everyone.
  • TMC management tools Unified platform for content, rates, fees, payments, profiles, email, invoicing, unused ticket handling, analytics, mid-office automation, and back-office integration. No more juggling tools.
  • Agent productivity tools Built-in contact center, task management, AI assistants, and performance insights — all on one global platform.
  • Global-first architecture Enabling TMCs to service any traveler from any location, deploy anywhere, manage globally, and analyze everything in real time.

Expanding our partnership ecosystem

This year, we expanded key partnerships and welcomed several new partners to the Spotnana platform, each bringing their unique expertise and vision to the modern travel landscape.

Cadence, a Forbes-endorsed travel agency celebrating 30 years of operation, announced it had launched Spotnana in March.

Direct Travel launched Avenir Travel Edition, its next-generation platform powered by Spotnana, and made it available to customers around the world. Later in the year, Direct Travel acquired ATPI and expanded deployment of Avenir around the world.

Talma Travel Solutions acquired a majority stake in Spotnana-powered Solutions Travel, making Spotnana available to a growing set of corporations globally.

JTB Business Travel launched Teal, its next-generation platform powered by Spotnana, bringing over a century of travel management expertise together with modern infrastructure.

Teplis Travel, a TMC with more than 50 years of industry leadership, announced its partnership with Spotnana in July.

Otto The Agent, an AI-powered travel assistant built by veterans from Expedia, Egencia, and Concur, launched to the public in December after integrating with Spotnana’s platform. Otto delivers an executive assistant experience for business travelers, autonomously handling booking, trip management, and disruption resolution through natural language interactions.

These partnerships demonstrate the breadth of our travel seller ecosystem, from century-old enterprises to innovative mid-market leaders embracing the future of travel technology.

Global content and NDC leadership

Our mission to provide comprehensive global content continued with several significant integrations this year.

We built a direct NDC integration with British Airways, providing customers and partners with full access to the airline’s content and comprehensive servicing capabilities. The integration includes fully automated, self-service disruption management, allowing travelers to seamlessly cancel or rebook with a single click when trips are disrupted.

To better serve the rapidly growing Indian travel market, we partnered with Cleartrip to expand our content offerings through direct API integration. This partnership provides access to content from India’s leading low-cost carriers, including IndiGo, Air India Express, SpiceJet, and Akasa Air, with support for multi-source airline bookings, negotiated rates, ancillaries, and GST compliance.

Booking.com, one of the world’s largest online travel agencies, partnered with Spotnana through a direct integration that provides access to its full global inventory and rates previously available only on its consumer website. The integration supports the complete traveler journey with self-service modifications, flexible payment options, loyalty member rates, and long-stay booking capabilities, all seamlessly activated through Spotnana Cloud for TMCs.

These partnerships build on our commitment to being NDC-first, data-first, and AI-first, ensuring our customers have access to the most comprehensive and competitive travel content available.

Product innovation

Throughout 2025, we released numerous powerful features designed to enhance operational efficiency, provide greater visibility, and deliver better experiences for travel managers, agents, and travelers, including:

Cash Payment Automation streamlined payments for airlines that only accept cash. Travelers can now use a credit card, which Stripe converts to a cash payment for the airline, automating what was previously a manual process and saving TMCs hours of work while reducing errors and ensuring faster ticketing.

Content Source Savings Report gave company administrators new visibility into the savings achieved through NDC and direct connection bookings. The report provides like-for-like comparisons showing cost differences when the same fare is available via both NDC and EDIFACT channels, helping travel managers quantify the value of modern distribution.

Flexible, Self-Service Traveler Messaging empowered travel managers with intuitive tools to communicate with travelers. Messages can be sent via custom emails, embedded within booking confirmations, or surfaced within Spotnana’s desktop or  mobile app based on trip parameters, policy changes, high-risk travel alerts, and more.

Task Dashboard transformed how TMC agents manage their workflows. This cloud-based dashboard provides full visibility from a single screen, with intelligent filtering and prioritization, bulk task actions, and automated quality control checks, all designed to reduce servicing costs and deliver superior traveler experiences.

Customer success stories

Throughout 2025, we’ve seen incredible results from our customers and partners:

Ciena travel manager Fazal Choksi was recognized as a BTN Best Practitioner for his work bringing a Spotnana-powered experience to travelers through Solutions Travel.

Qualtrics, with over 5,000 employees worldwide, leveraged Spotnana’s platform to drive significant savings on airline and hotel costs while implementing seamless technology across their global travel program.

Tyler Technologies, a leader in software and services for the public sector, harnessed Spotnana’s technology to improve travel experiences for their teams.

Direct Travel continued to modernize with Spotnana, powering Avenir as their next-generation travel platform, bringing modern infrastructure to thousands of corporate travel customers.

Solutions Travel, which launched in early 2023 as the first TMC to operate fully on Spotnana’s technology stack, demonstrated the power of combining world-class service with modern technology throughout 2025, consistently achieving high CSAT scores of 4.7 out of 5 from its customers.

Leadership and team growth

We strengthened our leadership team with two key additions:

Frank Pelzer joined as Chief Operating Officer in January, bringing extensive experience from his time as CFO at Concur. Frank’s expertise in scaling global travel technology operations has been invaluable as we continue to grow.

Will Arora joined as Executive Vice President of Engineering, bringing deep technical expertise to help drive our product innovation forward.

In November, our team came together in Bangkok, Thailand for our annual Converge offsite, reinforcing the collaboration and culture that makes Spotnana special. These gatherings are essential for aligning our global team and celebrating the progress we’ve made together.
