Life at Spotnana

Director of Product Management for Data & AI Yash Doshi leads Spotnana’s strategic vision and execution across data and how AI becomes an integral part of Spotnana’s products and features.

His role includes building experiences that transform how corporate travelers plan and book trips while also defining the underlying architecture, governance, and strategy that power our platform. He works closely with Spotnana’s leadership and cross-functional teams across engineering, design, and business development on some of the company’s most high-impact initiatives.

Yash shared what set Spotnana apart as a career destination, what it’s like to work on our Product team, his experience leading product demos at our global offsite, and more.

Can you share your career journey before Spotnana?

Director of Product Management for Data & AI Yash Doshi

“Throughout my career, I’ve built platforms that simplify complexity at scale. As a software engineer at General Electric, I built software for industrial products and Internet of Things (IoT) systems. I saw how well-designed software can dramatically improve efficiency, safety, and decision-making in the real world.

“I was drawn to the opportunity to shape end-to-end experiences and business outcomes, so I moved into product management. Before joining Spotnana, I spent several years at Palo Alto Networks and Cisco Tetration leading large-scale data and visualization initiatives across a highly complex security portfolio. There, I worked closely with engineering, design, and customers to unify fragmented systems, introduce analytics-driven experiences, and turn massive amounts of data into actionable insights.

“That combination of deep technical systems, platform thinking, and user-centered design ultimately led me to Spotnana.”

Why did you choose to come work at Spotnana?

“Spotnana is tackling a problem I care deeply about: modernizing travel infrastructure. The company’s ambition to rethink how booking, data, and intelligence work together immediately resonated with my background in platforms and AI-driven products.

“What really stood out was the opportunity to bring AI and data to the center of the travel experience in a way that’s practical, scalable, and trustworthy. Spotnana is a place where bold ideas can actually be executed.”

What was your interview experience like?

“It was one of the most unique interview experiences I’ve had in my career. Spotnana evaluated far more than traditional product discovery and execution skills. The process explored how I partner with cross-functional teams, my depth in AI, and how I think through problems in real time.

“One of the highlights was a hands-on vibe-coding exercise that went beyond writing code. It tested product judgment, user empathy, and how I would design thoughtful solutions for travelers from first principles. The experience felt practical, immersive, and closely aligned with the real work.

“I was also fortunate that team offsites in Palo Alto aligned with my interview process. I was able to meet and speak with our Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams in person. Those conversations provided a glimpse into our unique culture and revealed organization-wide alignment around our mission. Ultimately, the people and ambition behind Spotnana led me to choose this career destination over several other opportunities.”

What is it like to work on your team?

“My team operates with a strong sense of ownership, trust, and clarity of purpose. We focus on building systems that are not only innovative, but also reliable, explainable, and enterprise-ready.

“A few principles guide how we work. First, we start with real customer problems, not technology for technology’s sake. Then, we design for scale and correctness, especially when AI is involved. Finally, we move fast, but never at the cost of trust or data integrity.

“It’s a highly collaborative environment where product, engineering, and design are deeply partnered. Additionally, ideas are evaluated on merit rather than hierarchy.”

What is something specific that you’ve accomplished at Spotnana that you’re proud of?

“One of the highlights was leading major AI product showcases at Converge, our global offsite, in Bangkok.

“Seeing our ideas move from early concepts to live demos and watching teams immediately understand the potential has been incredibly rewarding. It reinforced that we’re not just adding features, but reshaping how people interact with travel and data.”

Can you share how in-person gatherings have shaped your Spotnana experience?

“In-person events like Converge and team offsites have been both energizing and grounding. They create space for creative collaboration and alignment, whether through product demos, open discussions, or face-to-face interaction with teammates who work remotely.

“Those moments strengthen relationships and make day-to-day execution smoother and more impactful.”

How has Spotnana supported your professional development?

“Spotnana supports growth for everyone by giving real ownership over meaningful problems. I operate both strategically and tactically, balancing long-term vision with deep product execution.

“Here, I’ve enjoyed trust, access to leadership, and openness to my ideas, which have allowed me to grow as a product leader. Spotnana also enables me to work on challenges that genuinely stretch my thinking around AI, data, and platform design.”

Why is travel important to you?

“Travel has always been a way for me to gain perspective. Through travel, I experience new environments, cultures, and ways of thinking. It pushes you out of routines and helps you see the world differently.

“Working in travel means building products that enable those experiences for millions of people, while also solving real operational and business challenges. That combination makes the work especially meaningful.”

What is your favorite thing about working at Spotnana?

“The people and the ambition. Spotnana brings together thoughtful, driven individuals who care deeply about building the right thing and are willing to challenge assumptions to get there.

“It’s a place where big ideas are encouraged, and execution truly matters.”
